Retirees/School Food Service Elections: Qualifying underway

Candidate qualifying is underway for the Retirees and School Food Service seats on the TRSL Board of Trustees. The deadline to qualify is 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2025. 

Retirees: 
You must be a retired member of TRSL (includes members who have returned to work in a position eligible for TRSL membership). Learn more.

School Food Service*: You must be an active member of TRSL paid with school food service funds (includes members who are participating in DROP or working after DROP). Learn more. 
*NOTE: Superintendents, bus drivers, custodians/ janitors, employees not paid with school food service funds, and TRSL retirees (including retired members who have returned to work) are not eligible for this position. Participants of the Optional Retirement Plan (ORP) are not members of the TRSL Regular Plan, and therefore are ineligible to run or vote in TRSL Board elections.
 

TRSL holds elections each year to fill the seats of trustees whose terms are expiring. Elected board members serve four-year terms.
  • 2025 (For terms expiring 12/31/25): School Food Service and Retirees
  • 2026 (For terms expiring 12/31/26): District 1, District 7, Retirees, Superintendents, and Colleges/Universities
  • 2027 (For terms expiring 12/31/27): District 2, District 3, and District 4
  • 2028 (For terms expiring 12/31/28): District 5 and District 6
