Session News #9: PBI bill granted another committee hearing

May 7, 2015

Although the bill to grant a 1.5% permanent benefit increase to eligible retirees and beneficiaries did not advance out of the House Retirement Committee last week, House Bill 42 (Rep. Jones) will be reconsidered by the committee next Thursday. In an unusual legislative procedure, the full House voted to direct the committee to report the bill on May 14.
